Gemiliano D. Aligui, MD, MPH, PhD
Dr. Aligui is the Vice President for Academic Affairs at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMCI), and the Research and Innovation Council Co-Chair at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center. He is a faculty of the Graduate School of UERMMMCI and the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB), a Diplomate of the Philippine Pediatric Society, a member of the American College of Epidemiology, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Philippine Journal of Nutrition. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Health (Concentration in Maternal and Child Health) and gained a scholarship grant from the German Foundation for International Development (GTZ). He finished his Doctor of Philosophy (Biological and Medical Sciences) degree at Brown University in the United States of America in 1997. He received a scholarship grant (Graduate Program in Epidemiology and Gerontology) from the World Health Organization, Tropical Disease Research for his graduate education and for his dissertation: “Quantifying Human Schistosoma japonicum Infection and Exposure: Errors in Field Diagnosis and Uncertainties in Exposure Measurements.”
