On 04 August 2023, the newly reconstituted HTA Council for 2023-2026, comprised of reappointed and new members, convened for their 1st meeting. The meeting was presided over by the incumbent Chairperson of the HTA Council, Dr. Marita V. Tolentino-Reyes and was held at at the Luxent hotel on Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Renato U. Solidum, Jr. who heads the HTA Council Selection Committee and DOST Undersecretary for Scientific and Technical Service Maridon O. Sahagun who supervises the HTA transition activities, were present during the meeting.

The meeting was aimed at welcoming the newly reconstituted HTA Council to the DOST, getting the existing and new members to be acquainted with each other; and, providing a general orientation on what is expected of them as members of the HTA Council.

Among the key topics presented during the meeting was the introduction to the DOST delivered by Usec. Sahagun as well as the introduction to the HTA Philippines delivered by Ms. Genuino-Marfori. The Technical Secretariat Unit also gave an overview of the upcoming events and meetings of the HTA Council and conveyed the need to balance timelines of expected HTA Council deliverables with onboarding efforts.
The HTA Division who serves as the support staff of the HTA Council organized and attended the event.
